Four-time Olympic champion Michael Johnson has launched Grand Slam Track, a new track and field venture. The league is set to start in 2025 and has secured over $30 million in financial commitments. Johnson has signed up Sydney McLaughlin-Levrone as the first star competitor. McLaughlin-Levrone, a two-time Olympic gold medalist and world-record holder, expressed excitement about being part of the league and believes it will take track to another level. The league plans to host four annual ‘Slams’ in global cities, with 96 athletes competing in various events. A prize money of $12.6 million will be awarded across the slams each year.
